Josephine Bessie Louise Coleman-Blanton, 84, passed away Thursday, July 7, 2016 at Vista Medical Center East in Waukegan. She was born on May 20, 1932 in Memphis, TN. She leaves to cherish her loving memory; nine children, Fannie B. Taylor, Carolyn (Tommy) Carter, Denise A. Blanton, Donna Rene (O) Blanton, Veronica J. (Bobby) Hill, Gail Z. (Danny) Overton-Swopes, Bobby Joe Overton Forston, Rex K. Blanton and James E. Overton; daughter-in-law, Robin S. Blanton; first husband, George A. Blanton, Sr.; sister-in-law, Rosie Coleman; grandchildren, Darrius (Monique) Taylor, Dorette (William) Brownlee, Davin (Kelly) Taylor, Fontayne Taylor, LaTrina Blanton, Melissa (Howard) Cager, DeCount (Joy) Daniels, Crystal M. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas, Sr. and Josephine Bessie Louise (Hawes) Coleman; two sons, John Blanton and George A. Blanton, Jr.; two sisters; Myrtle L. Perry and Maxine Pink; four brothers, Thomas Coleman, Jr., Clarence Coleman, Earl Coleman, James Coleman, and second husband, Johnny H. Overton. Life celebration is Saturday, July 9, 2016 from 11am-12pm at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 2222 Argonne Dr, North Chicago, IL. Interment is private.
