John Pietschman

John Pietschman, 63 years old, of Waukegan, Illinois passed away Thursday, July 12, 2012. John was born April 10, 1949 in Waukegan, Illinois, the son of Donald and Lucille (Tyrrell) Pietschman. John worked on the grounds at Lake Forest College for 41 years, eventually becoming Grounds Manager several years ago. He enjoyed his work at the college and was proud to see his daughter graduate from there. John loved nothing better than spending time outdoors, whether at home or at work. John was a die-hard Cubs fan. He planned wonderful group outings to Wrigley every year that included both family and friends. He also loved both the Blackhawks and Bears, and met many Bears players over the years when they practiced at Halas Hall on the Lake Forest College campus. John was a kind and generous man with a wonderful sense of humor. He is survived by his daughter, Lisa Seil and son-in-law Wally Seil of Wadsworth, his beloved cat Cross, and many friends. He was preceded in death by his father Donald in 1975 and mother Lucille in 2001. Funeral services will be private. Inurnment at Warren Cemetery & Mausoleum.
