John F. Effinger, Jr.

John F.  Effinger, Jr. of Antioch, IL passed away peacefully on June 21st, 2023 at the age of 101. He was born on August 3rd, 1921 in Waukegan, IL.

John is survived by his sons Don (Sue) and Tom (Marcy), granddaughter Carrie (Jeffrey) Effinger-Almodovar, grandchildren Matt Effinger and Megan Effinger, great grandson Sean Carlson, and sister-in-law Carol Effinger.

He was preceded in death by his wife Mildred nee Horan Effinger and brother William Effinger.

John served in the United States Navy and was proud of his military service.

John will be greatly missed by his family and friends. May he rest in peace.

A Visitation will be held on Wednesday June 28 at 10:30 AM, with the Funeral Service at 11:30 and burial to follow.
