Jennie Medina

Jennie Gonzalez Medina, 83, of Zion passed away August 7, 2012 at Grove at the Lake in Zion. She was born March 8, 1929 in Chicago. In 1947, Jennie married Joseph B. Medina.

She is survived by her three loving children, Joseph (Andrea Berlak) Medina, Jr., Phillip (Yolanda) Medina and Elvira Davila; fifteen grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesus and Juana (Ortiz) Gonzalez, husband of 37 years, Joseph, and one son, Michael Medina.

Jennie dedicated her life to caring for others and enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed sewing, doing puzzles, watching novelas, and was a fantastic cook.

Visitation is Friday, August 10, 2012 from 5:00pm-9:00pm at WARREN FUNERAL HOME, 1475 N. Cemetery Road, Gurnee. Funeral services are Saturday, August 11, 2012 at 10:00am at the funeral home. Burial at Ascension Cemetery in Libertyville.
