Jayanand "Babubhai" Simon Parmar

Jayanand Simon Parmar was born in Bombay, India on December 24, 1945 to Simon and Shantaben Parmar. Jayanand was called to Heaven on April 30, 2024 at the age of 78. 

In India, Jayanand served in the Indian Army and was an avid boxer. After he moved to The United States, he obtained his Mechanical Engineering Degree and had a long successful career with Amtrak in Chicago, IL. 

Jayanand married Madhukanta in 1991 and were blessed with two children: Noel and Christina. 

Jayanand is a true Disciple of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He made sure he lived his life through the Words of the Holy Bible every day. 

From being raised in India, joining the Army, a boxer, and a follower of Christ, there was nothing Jayanand couldn’t do if he put his mind to it. He was a true fighter through and through. A Lion. 

Jayanand is survived by his brothers, Stalin & Newton; his sisters, Meena & Unu; his wife Madhukanta; and his children, Noel & Christina. 

Jayanand will be remembered for his regimented structure, his determination, his tenacity, his love, his humor, and his devotion to Jesus Christ. 

Visitation will be Friday, May 10, 2024 from  9:30am to 10:30am at the Warren Funeral Home 1475 N. Cemetery Rd. Gurnee, IL 60031.

Funeral Service will be Friday, May 10, 2024 from 10:30am to 12:30pm at the Warren Funeral Home.
