James Snowden, sr

James Snowden, Sr., 76, passed away Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at Vista Medical Center East, Waukegan. He was born November 17, 1933 to Charlie and Irene Snowden in Jackson, Tennessee. He worked at the North Chicago Veteran Administration Hospital for 30 years as a baker and cook. He gave his life to the Lord at an early age. Later he served as a head Deacon at Tri-City Christian Church. He enjoyed being with family and friends. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Lena Snowden; children, Giselle (John) Jones, James (Tina) Snowden, Mario (Cynthia) Snowden, Harlan (Phyllis) Snowden, Nathan Snowden, Jamar (Chaquenta) Snowden and a host of family and friends. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 29, 2010 at 10:00am with viewing on Friday, May 28, 2010 from 7-9pm at WARREN FUNERAL HOME, 1475 N. Cemetery Rd., Gurnee.
