James Sanato

James E. "Jim" Sanato, 76, of Waukegan, passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2009 at the VA Hospital in North Chicago. He was born on July 18, 1932 in Waukegan to Emil and Mary (Rebella) Sanato. On February 27, 1954 in Waukegan, Jim married Jerry Carroll. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Jerry Sanato, children, Wayne (Penny) Sanato of Antioch, James (Kelly) Sanato of Waukegan and Ginger (Rich) Johnson of Marengo, IL; sisters, Corrine Jans, Gloria Gould, Elaine (Jerry) Brouillard, Joan (Tom) Longfield; grandchildren, Penny and James Sanato, Amber (Domonick) Williams, Cody Sanato, Rachel and Noah Johnson and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Richard and Joseph Sanato. Jim began plumbing in Local 93 UA in 1955 and retired as the business agent in 1988 so he could travel with his lovely bride. He filled his retirement with travel, was an avid fisherman and enjoyed restoring old cars. His family will miss this generous, honorable man. Family and friends may meet on Tuesday, July 21, 2009 from 10:00 am until 12:00 noon at Warren Funeral Home. Inurnment will follow at Warren Cemetery & Mausoleum, Gunree.
