James F. Maxwell, Sr., 86, of Gurnee, passed away peacefully at his home with his family. He was born on May 14, 1927 in Stoughton, Wisconsin to Clarence and Elsie (nee Schrode) Maxwell. He married the love of his life, Marguerite Isabella Clark, on May 23, 1953 at Zion Bible Mission. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Marguerite Maxwell; three loving children, (James) "Fred" Maxwell, II of Gurnee, John C. Maxwell of Minnesota and Laurie (Victor) Rosema of Califlornia; three grandchildren, Elizabeth, Teddy and Grace; one nephew, Lee Clark and one niece, Sue Clark. He was preceded in death by his parents. Jim was a member at Gages Lake Bible Church for many years. He was also a carpenter and belonged to the Carpenter's Local Union 250 in Waukegan. A private family burial was held at Warren Cemetery in Gurnee. A memorial service will be scheduled in May 2014 at Gages Lake Bible Church (please check occasionally for details).
