James P. Korah, 67 of Gurnee passed away peacefully in his sleep on the morning of Friday, December 07, 2018 after a long battle with Parkinson’s and cancer.
He was born on May 22, 1951 to the late Pallickal and (Kunnirickal Cherian) Maryamma Korah in Kerala, India. He worked as a Micro-Biologist for the Detroit Michigan Health Department and then went to work for the Lake County Health Department until his retirement. James was a part of the Indian Pentecostal Church Community and attended Gurnee Community Church. He was a very Spiritual man and enjoyed worshiping God through prayer and studying His Word. In his free time he loved to garden, take walks, go fishing and connect with his family online, but his favorite time was spent with his loving family especially his granddaughter.
James is survived by his sons, Ryan (Heather) Korah and Brian (Nicole) Korah, his granddaughter, Maya Rose Korah as well as his granddaughter Amelia Sue Korah whom will be born this coming January, his brother, P.K. Zachariah, his sisters, P.K. Achamma, P.K. Annamma and P.K. Marykutty.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters, P.K. Thankamma and P.K. Susamma.
Visitation will be on Thursday, December 13, 2018 from 8:30 A.M. to 11:30 A.M. at Gurnee Community Church located at 4555 Old Grand Ave. Gurnee, IL. The funeral service will be on Thursday, December 13, 2018 at 11:30 A.M. at the Church.
Burial will be at Warren Cemetery.
The family is being assisted by Warren Funeral Home.
