Jacqueline Porter

Jacqueline D. Porter, of Lindenhurst, passed in peace at the age of 83 on Saturday, September 24, 2016 surrounded by her family who loved her and will dearly miss her. She was born in 1933 in Cardston, Alberta, Canada to the late Leland and Pauline. Her family immigrated to California, and on November 27, 1950, Jacqueline married the love of her life, Arthur L. Porter. She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Arthur; four children, Stephen (Roberta) Porter, Susan (Patrick Boyce) Porter, Ann (Manny) Rocha and Sandra (Tom) Calanca; seven grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; one brother, John (Sandy) Bates, one sister, Pauline Coit and two nieces. Jacqueline is fondly remembered for her gentle smile, love of golf and her intellect in doing Sudoku and Words with Friends with her kids. Her happiest times were when she was surrounded by her family, she was the bond to keep the family together. A Memorial Service will take place Wednesday, September 28, 2016 from 10am -11am at Warren Funeral Home, 1475 N. Cemetery Rd., Gurnee with her son-in-law, Manny Rocha, officiating the services. Interment will be at Warren Cemetery & Mausoleum, Gurnee.
