Isaac Martinez

Isaac "Ike" Martinez, 56, of Waukegan passed away March 17, 2015 at Vista Medical Center East, Waukegan. He was born March 12, 1959 in the Philippines. Survived by his loving brothers and sisters, Edwin (Nida) Martinez, Felix (Adela) Martinez, Peter (Beth) Martinez, Jimmy (Jeane) Martinez, Marie Martinez, Rose "Peggy" (James) Vannatta and Dino Martinez; nieces and nephews, Nadine, Neil, AJ, Justin, Jasmine, Stephanie, Cassandra, Emily, Jenny, and special friend and companion, Susana (Susie). He was preceded in death by his parents, Gonzalo Saldaña Martinez and Virginia Bangalan Martinez Powell and brother, Julius. Ike worked at Abbott Labs as a Solution Operator for 16 years. He loved his family and friends, was a great cook, and loved rock and roll music, especially Eddie Van Halen. Visitation is Friday, March 20, 2015 from 4-8pm at WARREN FUNERAL HOME, 1475 N. Cemetery Rd., Gurnee. Funeral services are Saturday, March 21, 2015 at 10:30am at the funeral home with Fr. Ray Clennon officiating. Burial will follow at Ascension Cemetery, Libertyville.
