Irene M. Rowe, 88, of Lake Villa, passed away Saturday, August 20, 2016 at Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville. She was born March 17, 1928 in Tomahawk, WI and moved to Lake County, IL in 1942. Irene married Howard E. Rowe on December 7, 1947 in Waukegan, and together they raised four children. She loved people, especially her family, animals, flowers, vacationing with her family, and most of all, was always thankful for anything anyone did for her. She leaves to cherish her loving memory, children, Ted Rowe, Sharon Rowe and Tim (Terri) Rowe; grandchildren, Tony (Erica) Rowe, Megan (Jose) Duran, Jenna (Joey) Sanchez, Lindsey Rowe, Amber Rowe, Robin (Reggie) Johnson and Michelle (Larry) Smulson; step-grandchildren, George (Karen) Kontaxis and Harold (Candy) Kontaxis; great grandchildren, Austin Rowe, Brayden Duran, Leah Duran, Joseph Sanchez and Landen Sanchez; step great grandchildren Kelly, George, Jamie, Taylor and Jenna Kontaxis; sisters, MaryAnn (Marshall) Streib and Rosalie Smith; sister-in-law, Sandy Steinbach; brothers-in-law, Donald "Porky" Bushar and Donald Taff; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Emil and Emma (Webie) Steinbach; husband, Howard Rowe; son, Gary Rowe; brothers, Elmer Steinbach, Rudy Steinbach, Bud Steinbach and Gerald Steinbach; three sisters, Dorothy Bushar, Audrey Hulce and Eva Taff; brothers-in-law, Donald Smith and Lauren Hulce; sisters-in-law, Myra Steinbach, Mary Steinbach, Carol Steinbach, and Lu Steinbach. Visitation is Tuesday, August 23, 2016 from 4-8pm at Warren Funeral Home. Funeral services are Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at 10am at the funeral home with Pastor John Shumate officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park in Libertyville. Memorial donations may be made to Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Waukegan, the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
