Howard Bongratz

Howard Bongratz, 61, of Gurnee, born September 6, 1952 in Evanston, passed away December 17, 2013 at Lutheran General Hospital, Park Ridge.

Survived by loving wife of 41 years, Karen Bongratz; mother, Irene Bongratz; children, Ben (Kelly) Bongratz, Joe (Jennifer) Bongratz and Angie Bongratz; brother, Paul (Karin) Bongratz; sister, Karen Toca; grandchildren, Maxwell, Jaxon, Zackary, Alex, Ella, Ethan. He was preceded in death by his father, Ernest Bongratz.

Howard was a loving husband, dad and grandpa. An executive in a manufacturing company, he holds three patents for industrial machines. He enjoyed golfing, the Bears and was an amazing craftsman who could make or fix anything. He also proudly served as a Gurnee POC Fireman for more than fifteen years.

Visitation Sunday, December 22, 2013, 12pm-4pm at WARREN FUNERAL HOME, 1475 N. Cemetery Rd., Gurnee. Memorial services Monday, 11am at the funeral home with Pastor Brian Walter officiating.

Interment will follow at Warren Cemetery & Mausoleum, Gurnee.
