Haylie Christine "Honey Princess" Winiewicz, 15, of Lindenhurst passed away suddenly on Saturday, August 29, 2015. She was born on June 18, 2000 in Lake Forest to Christopher and Gina Winiewicz. Haylie was an amazing young lady who ran cross country at Millburn Middle School, competed in hip hop, was a Worlds Cheer Athlete, and was on the Varsity Cheer Team at Grayslake North, where she was a Sophomore. She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving mother, Gina Winiewicz; loving sister and best friend in the entire world, Ashley Winiewicz; maternal grandparents, Jim and Sue Mateja; cousins, Jac Mateja and Taylor Slotkus; aunt, uncle and Godparents, Dana (Adam) Slotkus; uncle, Brad (Lori) Mateja; her best friends, Nina Willems, Jamie Klapperich, Alyx Dembinsky, Anjelica "Jelly" Diaz and Casadee Gunty; all her very dear Cheer and Twister Elite friends from Grayslake North Cheer, and her father's brothers, David, Larry, Gregory and Brian Winiewicz. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Casimer and Dorothy Winiewicz; beloved cousin, Peyton Mateja, and devoted father, Christopher Winiewicz. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 2, 2015 from 2-9 pm at WARREN FUNERAL HOME, 1475 N. Cemetery Rd., Gurnee, and also from 8:30 am until mass time at 10:00 am at the church (please meet at the church on Thursday morning, September 3, 2015). A funeral mass will be held Thursday, September 3, 2015 at 10am at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 15000 W. Wadsworth Rd., Wadsworth, IL with Fr. James Merold officiating.
