Guynell Long

Guynell Long, 89 of Gurnee, passed away on Tuesday, December 01, 2020 at Warren Barr in Lincolnshire.

She was born on June 25, 1931 to the late Charles and Eloise (McCampbell) Pearson in Waukegan,Il. She was preceded in death by her parents, her son William Dennis Long, her brothers; Ivan Pearson and Jack Arnold, and her sisters; Ardell Senter and Genevieve Whyte.

Our sweet legacy closer is survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and wonderful friends.

Guynell Long was a dedicated hard working woman as well as an outstanding athlete. She held various occupations from housekeeping/caregiver to a lab specialist at Abbott Laboratories. Very passionate about serving her community, Guynell spent many years as Clerk at First Corinthian Missionary Baptist church. Upon retirement our lover of life and adventure continued to spend her days investing in and caring for others, playing and attending sporting events, traveling and fellow shipping with friends and family.
