Gregory Kolakowski

Gregory Allen Kolakowski, 56, of Lowell, Indiana, passed away suddenly on Monday, August, 12, 2013 at home. He was born on July 20, 1957 in Chicago to Matthew Z. and Bertha Carmen (Rodriguez) Kolakowski. He is survived by his siblings, Kenneth (Rosa) Kolakowski of Gurnee, IL, Marybeth (Stephan) Fabro of Bloomingdale, IL, Anthony (Beverly) Kola of Arlington Heights, IL, John Kolakowski of Streamwood, IL, Glenn Kolakowski of Streamwood, IL and Zigmund Kolakowski of Chicago; nieces and nephews, Mathew (Amanda) Kolakowski, Dr. Jonathan Kolakowski, Elizabeth Fabro, Stephen Fabro, Rachel Fabro, Sarah Fabro, Angela Kola, Jillian Kola and Jason Kolakowski; his best friend of 42 years, Don Koskela of Cedar Lake, IN. He was preceded in death by his father, Matthew Z. Kolakowski. Gregory enjoyed fishing, watching movies, listening to music and donating his time as a volunteer at the Porter County Community Center. He worked as a graphic designer for more than 30 years with 20 years spent at Kwik Copy in Crown Point, IN. Visitation is Friday, August 16, 2013 from 5-9pm at Warren Funeral Home, 1475 N. Cemetery Rd., Gurnee, IL 60031. Funeral services are Saturday, August 17, 2013 at 12:30pm with visitation from 11am until service time at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Warren Cemetery, Gurnee, IL.
