A Time to be Born : Grady Triplett was born to the union of Fred and Gertude Triplett. He was born on February 28, 1942, in Shaw, MS. He was one of 15 children.
A Time to Bloom: Grady met his wife as a young man in Indianola, MS. They relocated to Illinois in 1965. She and her husband raised their four children and their Granddaughter, Kassie in North Chicago, IL. Grady was a dedicated employee of The Rubber Company for 20 plus years . He was also employed at the Aamco Gas Station and Lake Forest Car Wash. After his retirement, he also served as a Landscaper for the North Chicago Park District. Grady enjoyed fishing and working on cars in his spare time. He was the go to person for car repairs for all of his, children and nieces & nephews.
A Time to Rest: Grady never discussed his faith until later in life. He believed that God was at work in life and he was going to be fine. On December 6, 2019, God received him home.
A Time to Reflect: Grady leaves to cherish his memories, three children born to his union: sons, Quentin & Grady(Angie)and daughter, Trina; three additional children Zhara Luckett, Chris Jackson, Michael Lindsey, Sr.; 18 grandchildren: Rita, Anthony, Qnisha, Quesheta, Jeremy, Quentin, LaTisha, Jessica, Timothy Jr., Kassie, James, Jerrica, Grady III, Marquell, Kamden, Mi’kaiale, Michael Jr. and Myles ; 25 great-grandchildren; eleven siblings, AW (Sally) Triplett, Willie James Triplett, Sylvester Triplett, Fred Triplett, Will Triplett, Jesse Triplett, Lessie Triplett, Flossie Macon, Lela Mae Curry, Angela Martin and Margaret Moore; sisters in-law Alice (Walter) Lewis, Jacqueline Smith and Dorothy (Joel) Murphy; brothers-in-law, Larry Smith and J.T. (Janis) Jones; several nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Additionally, special friends, whom he cherished: Charles Robertson and Pete Yarbrough. He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Ange L. Triplett; daughter, Barbara Willington; son, Timothy D. Triplett, Sr.; his parents, Fred and Gertrude Triplett; three brothers: Ollie, James and Arby Triplett; In laws J.T. and Ruby Smith, brother in laws: James and Joe Eddie Smith and sister-in-law, Loria Harvey.
A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2019 at Warren Funeral Home, 1475 N. Cemetery Road, in Gurnee, IL. Visitation: 11:00 am Service: 12:00 pm
