Gilbert Bythewood Jr

Gilbert Roger Bythewood, Jr., 66, of Antioch, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at his home. He was born on February 5, 1947 in Gainesville, Texas. On July 27, 1974, Roger married Nancy Sue Kritzberg on the Great Lakes Naval Base. He is survived by his two loving children, David (Rachel) Bythewood and Barbara (Patrick) Gras; three grandchildren, Janae Carol Bythewood, Carter Alexander Gras and Teagan Isabella Gras; three brothers, Michael (Sharon) Bythewood, Mitchell (Rhonda) Bythewood, Richard (Michelle) Bythewood and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gilbert Roger, Sr. and Cora Ruth (Goss) Bythewood and his beloved wife, Nancy Sue Bythewood, who passed away on June 22, 2012. Roger served during the Vietnam War and was a retired Navy Veteran. He was a member of the Fleet Reserve Association. Services are private.
