Geraldine Knapowski

Geraldine(Gerry) M. Knapowski, age 85, of Des Plaines, (formerly Park City), passed away peacefully on December 12, 2018 at Advocate Condell Hospital, Libertyville.  She was born on September 30, 1933, to George and Irene Denk in Chicago.

Gerry is survived by her only daughter, Jacqueline (Bud) Dennis, sister Arlene (Ed) Bonthron, brother Albert (Janet) Denk, granddaughter Ashley (David) Johnson, 3 great grandchildren, Mackenzie, Kaidance, and Duncan, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.  She is preceded in death by her husband, James, in 1999.

Gerry loved spending time with her family and friends.  She enjoyed working on crossword puzzles, baking, using social media to stay in touch with family and friends, and vacationing with family at Disney World.

Visitation is December 20th, 2018, 4-7pm, Warren Funeral Home, 1475 North Cemetery Rd., Gurnee, Illinois. Final visitation Friday, December 21st, 9-10am, Warren Funeral Home.  Mass of Christian Burial at St. Paul the Apostle Church, 4601 Gages Lake Rd., Gurnee, Illinois will follow final visitation, 10:30am.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS.ORG).
