George Nichols was the much loved husband of Leslie (nee Hart) Nichols; adored father of Katherine, Elizabeth (Jordan) and John; proud grandfather of Serenity; cherished brother of Gloria (Hanna) Wakim and Daniel (Lynn) Nichols. He will be greatly missed by his many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Born on March 27, 1952 in Chicago, Illinois, George graduated from the University of Chicago in 1974. His career was in financial systems but his passion was his family and his music. A self taught drummer, he shared his talents with his son John. His passion for knowledge made him a great example for his family. His passing will leave an emptiness difficult to fill.
Memorial visitation will be Sunday, August 12th at 11:00am with a celebratory service at 1:00pm at the Warren Cemetery and Funeral Home, 1475 North Cemetery Road, Gurnee, Illinois 60031.
