Genevieve Blackowicz

Genevieve S. Blackowicz, 92, of North Chicago and a longtime parishioner of Holy Rosary Church, passed away at Vista Medical Center East in Waukegan. She was born July 14, 1924 in Waukegan to Joseph and Natalie (Orlowski) Rajuniec. On July 19, 1947 in North Chicago, Genevieve married Leo Blackowicz. Genevieve was "Ma" to everyone and loved by all who knew her. She is survived by her sons, Robert (Patricia) Blackowicz, David (Pam Ingram) Blackowicz and Michael Blackowicz, Sr.; grandchildren, Jason, Jeremy, Amanda, Sam and Michael, Jr.; numerous great grandchildren including Ethan, Ella and Andon. She was preceded in death by her parents and beloved husband of more than 50 years, Leo. Services are private. Interment at Northshore Garden of Memories in North Chicago.
