Geneva Olivares

Geneva A. Olivares, 84, of Galena, IL, formerly of Waukegan, passed away on Saturday, May 1, 2010 at Galena Stauss Nursing Home. She was born May 13, 1925 in Kenefick, Oklahoma to Ricardo and Maria (Arellano) Olivares. She is survived by sisters, Ester Gonzales, Dolores Olivares and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and six sisters. Geneva moved to Waukegan in 1951 and was a member of First Baptist Church of Waukegan. She loved to sing, joined the church choir and sang many solos for the congregation. She worked and retired as a line worker from Abbott Labs after 33 years of service. A gathering will be Saturday, May 8, 2010 at 10am at WARREN FUNERAL HOME, 1475 N. Cemetery Rd., Gurnee. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park, Libertyville, IL. Memorial donations may be made to First Baptist Church of Waukegan.
