Gary Torres, 64, of Zion died July 25, 2010 at Vista Medical Center East. He was born May 1, 1946 in Waukegan. On January 16, 1982 in Waukegan, Gary married Lynne McKinney.
Survived by loving wife of 28 years, Lynne Torres; mother, Mary Torres; son, Brian (Amanda) Torres; brother, Allan Torres, sisters, Donna (Dan) Szymczak, Mary Gebhardt; grandchildren, Ethan and Emma Torres; niece, Carolynn Freeman; nephews, Charles (Paulette) Freeman, Timothy Freeman and many other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by father, Manuel Torres and brother, Jim Torres.
Gary served in the US Army for six years during Vietnam. He coached youth football from 1986-1998 and then coached semi-pro football from 1998-2000.
Visitation is Wednesday, July 28, 2010 from 4-7pm at WARREN FUNERAL HOME, 1475 N. Cemetery Rd., Gurnee. Funeral services Wednesday at 7pm following the visitation. Private family burial at Warren Cemetery.
