Frances Libby

Frances M. Libby, 83, passed away at her home in Park City on Tuesday, June 23, 2009. She was born on March 30, 1926 in Waukegan. On November 24, 1943 in Ottawa, IL, Frances married Cecil J. Libby. She is survived by her daughter, Joyce (Chester) George of Waukegan, son, Brian (Joy) Libby of Lawrenceville, GA; grandchildren, Christy (James Davis) George, Ryan (Heather Stieber) George, Matthew and Steven Libby and Erik Czechowski; great grandchildren, Jacob Franklin, Hayden Davis and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Agnes (Virgant) Prosen, husband of 63 years who passed away in February 2006, Cecil, and brothers, Wencil, Frank, and Joe Prosen. Frances was a long-time, die-hard Cubs fan. Family and friends may meet on Saturday, June 27, 2009 from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm at Warren Funeral Home with Chaplain Deb Waterman officiating. Entombment will follow at Warren Cemetery, Chapel of Peace Mausoleum, Gurnee. In liue of flowers, donations may be made to Star Hospice of Vista Health, 99 Greenwood, Waukegan, IL 60085. The family wants to give a special thank you to Ms. Helen Getchell, Frances' nurse, for all her help, care and compassion.
