F. Paul Anhalt, Jr., 82, of Pleasant Prairie, WI, passed away Monday, November 3, 2014 at St. Joseph's Home and Rehabilitation in Pleasant Prairie. He was born July 17, 1932 in Evanston, IL. On August 18, 1956 in Maywood, IL, Paul married the love of his life, Carol Fechtner. Paul was a Sergeant in the United States Marines during the Korean war. He was a coach for the Grayslake Colts Football Team for 17 years, and an assistant coach for the Grayslake Rams Hockey Club. Paul worked for OMC Stern Drive in Waukegan, IL and Bodine Electric in Chicago, IL. After retiring he enjoyed working for Stonewall Orchard Golf Course in Grayslake, IL where he also played the sport of golf that he loved so much. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Carol Anhalt; children, Tammy (Rick) Kenney of Excelsior Springs, MO, Frederick Paul III (Robbin) Anhalt of Lindenhurst, IL and Rhonda (Tom) Socha of Pleasant Prairie, WI; sister, Joyce Voyles of Wayne, NE; brother-in-law, Donald R. (Dolores Sly) Fechtner of Antioch; grandchildren, Joe (Becky) Peterson, Eric (Joni) Peterson, Frederick Paul Anhalt, IV, Kimberly (Jesse) Fischer, Crystal (Jared) Kueker, Adam (Lauren) Socha, Alex (Alysa Kotleski) Socha, and Grace Rolewicz; great-grandchildren, Isabelle Peterson, Natalie Peterson, Caelyn Kueker, Mason Fischer and Karissa Fischer. Many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frederick Paul, Sr. and Natalie (Johnson) Anhalt; sister, Joan Samuelson; father-in-law and mother-in-law, O. Ray and Edna Fechtner. Visitation is Friday, November 7, 2014 from 4-8pm at WARREN FUNERAL HOME, 1475 N. Cemetery Rd., Gurnee, IL. Funeral services will be private.
