Ella Mae Johnson, 79, of Zion, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 9, 2009 at Vista Medical Center East in Waukegan. Born November 14, 1929 in Canton, MS, she was the daughter of James and Mary Williams. Her first husband, Leroy Johnson, Sr. passed away and then she married John Johnson, who also passed away. Ella Mae is survived by her loving children, Leroy Johnson, Jr., John Johnson, both of Zion and Betty Wiley of North Chicago; sister, Bessie (Henry) Bostic of Lexington, MS; twelve grandchildren, a host of great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, two favorite nieces, Sheila Williams and Debra Earl, one favorite nephew, Karl Traylor and special friends, Venessa Sims, Hope Senter and Vickie Raier. She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, Jessie, Robert Lee, John and Willie Williams and one sister, Fannie Anderson. Ella Mae worked at Lamb's Farm in Libertyville until her health began to fail. She retired from Great Lakes in North Chicago. A visitation will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2009 from 10:00 am until funeral services at 11:00 am at Warren Funeral Home with Pastor Ernest Taylor officiating from Word of Life Ministries in Beach Park, IL. Entombment will follow at Warren Cemetery & Mausoleum, Gurnee, IL.
