Edward G. Godfrey, 81, of Gurnee, passed away on Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at Captain James A Lovell Federal Health Care Center in North Chicago. He was born on November 16, 1931 to Edward A. and Maisie (nee Sayer) Godfrey.
He is survived by his two loving children, Gregory Godfrey and Lisa (David) Grum; four grandchildren, David Grum, Michael Grum, Mandy Grum and Abby (Eric) Bradley; six great grandchildren, Kevin, Jr., Makenzie, Simon, Jackson, Eli and Cal. He was preceded in death by his parents and beloved wife, Nancy L. Godfrey.
Edward was a United States Navy retired veteran, and then later retired from his second career at the Village of Gurnee Public Works Department.
Services are private. Interment is at Warren Cemetery & Mausoleum, Gurnee.
