Edgar J. Burns, 79, of Evansville, IN. passed away on Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at Condell Medical Center in Libertyville. He was born on April 17, 1931 to Moreland and Marion Burns. He married Jane Cherry on April 15, 1955 in Evansville.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Jane A. Burns; Two children, Susan (Troy) Oldham, and Jim (Denise) Burns; grandchildren, Stephanie Oldham, Christopher Oldham, and Barry Burns; One sister Alice Newman; and nieces and nephews.
Edgar served in the Navy during the Korean War.
Funeral services will take place on Monday, July 12, 2010 at 1 pm following the visitation from 12 - 1pm at WARREN FUNERAL HOME, 1475 N. Cemetery Rd., Gurnee, and the burial will follow the services.
