Douglas A. Ploss, 84, of Antioch, passed away on Sunday, May 4, 2014 at Winchester House in Libertyville. He was born on May 8, 1929 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Henry and Theresa (Bauer) Ploss. On June 30, 1956 in Grayslake, Douglas married Mary-Jeanne Quaadman. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Mary-Jeanne Ploss; four children, Amy (Peter) James, Jeannette Weise, Peter (Eileen) Ploss and John (Darlene) Ploss; two sisters, Caroline Owens and Mary Allen; seven grandchildren, Aaron (AnDrea) James, Lila Kate James, James Weise, Mary Weise, David Ploss, Jessica Ploss and Meghan Cripe; three great grandchildren, Isaiah James, Adaela James, Dylan Cripe and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, James Ploss and Thomas Ploss. Inurnment will take place on Friday, May 9, 2014 at 1:00 pm with Air Force Military Honors at Warren Cemetery, Chapel of Peace Mausoleum, Gurnee.
