Dorothy Jones

Dorothy M. Jones, 86, of Lincolnshire passed away on Friday, November 20, 2009 at Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville. She was born on January 18, 1923 in Chicago to John and Ursula (Doberstein) Dean. On June 15, 1957 in Chicago, Dorothy married Melvin Jones. She is survived by her four loving children, Sue Mitchell of Dunnellon, FL, Barbara (Kenny) Thatcher of Wildwood, Claudia (Gerry) Hajduk of Vernon Hills and Michael Jones of Pleasant Prairie; nine grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, one niece and one nephew. She was preceded in death by her parents, step-mother, Zora Dean, husband of 45 years, Melvin, one sister, Marjorie Dean, one grandson, Kevin Thatcher and one great grandson, Talon Mitchell. Dorothy worked and retired after twenty years of service at the Marriott Lincolnshire. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 24, 2009 from 4-8 pm at WARREN FUNERAL HOME, 1475 N. Cemetery Rd., Gurnee. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, November 25, 2009 at 11 am with one hour of visitation prior to services. The Reverend Lisle Kauffman from Calvary Presbyterian Church in Round Lake will officiate services. Entombment will follow at Warren Cemetery, Chapel of Peace Mausoleum, Gurnee.
