Doris Morby

Doris Marion Morby, 88, of Fox Lake, passed away on Thursday, July 23, 2009 at Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington. She was born on March 8, 1921 in Frederick, South Dakota. On April 5, 1941 in Evanston, Doris married Raymond John Morby. She is survived by her loving family, seven children, Marian Lee McCaughey of Wauconda, Steven John (Patricia) Morby of Troy, IL, Lucille Ann (James) DeVries of Lake Ville, Arthur Robert (Dawn) Morby of Scales Mound, IL, Raymond John (Virginia) Morby, Jr. of Burlington, WI, Leslie Anne (John) Michelau of Johnsburg, IL and Arthur Henry (Stephanie) Morby II of Lake Villa; tweny three grandchildren, Victor (Laura) DeMeyer, Laurie (Ray) DeMeyer-Siminak, Beth DeMeyer, Edgar DeMeyer, Dorie (Don) Hoevel, Julie (Bill) Knesley, Steven (Kerry) McCaughey, Debbie (John) Gaughan, Steven (Amy) Morby, Katie Morby, Jim (Laura) DeVries, Cheryl (Doug) Moss, Joe DeVries, Christy Morby, Joshua Morby, Michael (Carly) Morby, Jarrod (Devon) Morby, Christopher Morby, John (Brianne) Michelau, Scott (Jamie) Michelau, Bob Michelau, Julie Morby and Clay Morby; twenty-nine great grandchildren, Erica, Melissa, Nathan, William, Olivia, Grace, Brayden, Tristan, Alex, Zachary, Kevin, Colin, Billy, Christian, Katlyn, Ellie, Georgie, Leah, Mary, Ryan, Joey, Annie, Elaina, Caleigh, Hunter, Dylan, Tiara, Julayne and Addison; two great great grandchildren, Christina and Jonathon; brother, Gordon (Jayne) Landeck of Alba, TX; sister, Carroll (Charles) Veselits of Arlington Heights; twenty-eight nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Lee Landeck and mother and step-father, Marian and Bentley Vaughn, husband of 53 years who passed away on January 1, 1995, Raymond John Morby, Sr., daughter, Lynn Rae DeMeyer, sister and brother-in-law, Clara and Robert Ralph, grandson, Timothy David Morby and granddaughter, Sarah Christine Morby. Doris loved and enjoyed her family. Words will never express how much she will always mean to each and every one of us. Family and friends may meet on Sunday, July 26, 2009 from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Warren Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 27, 2009 at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Warren Cemetery & Mausoleum, Gurnee.
