Donald W. Huff, 82, of Lindenhurst, passed away on Saturday, September 5, 2015 at home surrounded by his family. He was born on June 24, 1933 in Independence, Missouri to William B. and Jennie (Cochran) Huff. Donald was a Korean War Veteran and was a member of the American Legion in Missouri. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, was an avid Bears and Kansas City Chiefs fan, enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hunting, playing cards and bowling. Donald was a very hard-working man, he always held two jobs and was a great provider for his family. He is survived by his children, Kevin (Shirley) Huff, Kelly (Raymond) Paschall and Mickey Scurio; son-in-law, Michael Summy, Sr.; grandchildren, Rachel (Fred) Kunzer, Brittany (Vince) Giacinto, Mike, Jr. (Sheri) Summy, Kyle Summy, Gwen (Rob) Myers, Bethany Johnson, Mike Huff, Jr., Stephanie Huff and Johnathon Huff; many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews; his Navy buddies, Mac and Billi McEwen and Family, and all of his dear, close fishing friends at the lake. He was preceded in death by his parents, beloved wife, Helen I. Huff; son, Michael Huff, Sr.; daughter, Robin Kaye Summy; his sister whom he was very close, Agnes Rudene Hammontree and brother-in-law, Paul Hammontree. Visitation is Wednesday, September 9, 2015 from 5-7pm at Warren Funeral Home, 1475 N. Cemetery Rd., Gurnee. Funeral services are Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at 7pm at the funeral home with Fr. James Merold officiating. Interment will be at Warren Cemetery, Gurnee. Memorial donations may be made to the American Lung Association or Advocate Hospice.
