Donald L. Fischer Donald L. Fischer, 81, of Antioch IL passed away Sunday, August 1, 2010 at Westmoreland Nursing Center, Lake Forest IL. He was born July 5, 1929 in Chicago IL to Alfred & Ethel Fischer. Don was a veteran of the Korean War. On April 15, 1950 he married Marilyn "Lynn" (nee Schubert). He retired from Great Lakes Naval Base Civil Service in 1992. He was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church in Lindenhurst IL. Don's love of life included fishing, golfing, refinishing furniture, world travel and his circle of family & friends. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years Lynn, two daughters - Diane (James) Alm, Kimberlee (Thomas) Pocrnich both of Antioch IL; dear grandfather of Brian (Melissa) Alm Kingston IL, Jason Alm Naples FL; great-grandfather of Savanah; dear brother Lennard (Betty) Fischer Antioch IL. Preceded in death by siblings Bernice Gauger, Robert Held and Delores Klippert. Visitation Thursday, 10:00 am until time of service 1:00 pm at Warren Funeral Home, 1475 N. Cemetery Road, Gurnee IL.
