Dixie Underwood

Dixie R. Underwood, 66, of Waukegan passed away suddenly, Saturday, September 22, 2012 at Lutheran General Hospital, Park Ridge. She was born February 18, 1946 in Waukegan to the late Anthony and Beverly (Johnson) Elblein. On September 2, 1967 in Kenosha, Wisconsin, Dixie married Ausie Dean Underwood. Survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Ausie Dean Underwood; children, Michael (Lisa) Underwood, Bobbie (Mark) Griffin, Dina (Donny) Green; brother and sisters, Bonnie (Terry) Amlin, Raymond Elblein, Debbie (Skip) Holderbaum; cherished grandchildren, Emily, Anthony and Logan Underwood, Megan, Alex and Matthew Griffin, Peter (April) Green, Nathan Green and David (Jessica) Green; great-grandchildren, Macey and Sarah Green and many nieces and nephews. Visitation is Tuesday, September 25, 2012 from 4-8pm at Warren Funeral Home, 1475 N. Cemetery Rd., Gurnee. Funeral services are Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at 10:30am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Warren Cemetery, Gurnee.
