Dioselina Alva Becerra, 55 , from Waukegan Illinois was born on December 17, 1968 in Ario De Rosales, Michoacan, Mexico to the late Hermelinda Becerra and Agustin Alva. She went to sleep in the arms of Diosito and la Virgencita on July 7, 2024. Dioselina attended schools Escuela Jose Maria Morelos y Pavón, Escuela Secundaria Técnica No. 48 and Academia Comercial Fray Juan Bautista Moya , where she received certification in private accounting. She later immigrated to the United States in February of 1997 in hopes of being able to explore new places and to work. Temp agency worker for over 10 years and devoted child care provider (babysitter) for more than 20 years. Selina loved and cared for every single child she took care of as if they were her own. Devoted Catholic. She attended Parroquia Santiago Apóstol in her hometown in Mexico and Most Blessed Trinity Parish (Sagrada Familia) and Nuestra Señora De Guadalupe churches in Waukegan for many years. Lover of cats, YouTube, flowers, Mexican food, Cheetos, Coca Cola and a warm glass of coffee in the mornings. Loving mother to Daisy Elimary Alva. Dioselina is survived by her dear siblings Rigobertina Alva, Santiago Alva, Oliva Alva, Lourdes Alva, Julieta Alva, Jorge Alva and many cherished nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, her sweetheart A.F. and more. She was preceded in passing by her devoted parents and sister, Maria De Rocio Alva. She will be deeply missed by all who know and love her.

Mami, sigues estando presente y aunque ya no podamos abrazarte, tus enseñanzas y el cariño que nos entregaste nos abraza todos los días. Te buscaré en cada cielo que mis ojos puedan observar. Mientras tanto, espérame ahí en la eternidad. Por favor, dale muchos abrazos a mi tía Mari y a mis abuelitos de parte de la familia Alva. Los amamos hoy y siempre. Que Diosito y la Virgencita los cuide siempre. Besitos y abrazos infinitos. Te ama tu princesa, Daisita. (Para siempre mi Mamá Constantina, como te decía de burla jeje)
