Derrick Fitts

Derrick Anthony Rodriguez Fitts, 28, of Spring, TX formerly of Waukegan, IL, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, October 3, 2016 at home in Texas. He was born on July 1, 1988 in Waukegan to Grady W. Fitts III and Lisa Marie Rodriguez. Derrick was known to be very "Tech Savy" and was a true "Gamer." He received his Associates Degree in Information Technology in 2013, and recently started working for The United States Postal Service. He leaves to cherish his loving memory, father, Grady W. (Samantha Cruz) Fitts III and mother, Lisa M. (Robert, Sr.) Rodriguez-Noel; paternal grandmother, Margaret Smith; maternal grandmother, Beverly (Raymond) Torres; one sister, Brittany Fitts; three brothers, Timothy (Angelica Hernandez) Dye, Jalen Rodriguez and Amauri Rodriguez; one step-sister, Amanda Noel; four step-brothers, Robert Noel, Jr., Caleb Noel, Shafi Darr, Sr. and Carlos Cruz; aunts and uncles, Kari, Tanya (Robert), Joshua, Adam, Tino (Esperanza), Julie, Elizabeth (Ray), Rodney (Paula), Kimberly (Erskin), Curtis, Tonya, and Roderick (Valerie); nieces and nephews, Bryanña, Taliyah, Gia, Adrian, and Shafi, Jr.; a host of very special cousins, extended family, and friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Faustino Rodriguez; paternal grandfather, Toussaint Tate, Jr.; two very dear cousins, Joey Rodriguez and Jason Rodriguez. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 from 5-9pm at Warren Funeral Home, 1475 N. Cemetery Rd., Gurnee, IL. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at 10am with visitation from 9-10am before services with Pastor James Conver and Elder Mark Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Warren Cemetery & Mausoleum in Gurnee, IL.
