Dennis Wendricks

Dennis "Denny" A. Wendricks, 77, of Wadsworth passed away suddenly on Sunday, December 12, 2010 at Vista Medical Center East in Waukegan. He was born on November 18, 1933 in Waukegan. On March 12, 1955 in Waukegan, Denny married Ruth Ann Bisland.
He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Ruth Ann Wendricks; five children, Ronald (Susan) Wendricks of Waukegan, Kelly (Edie) Wendricks of Grayslake, Patrick Wendricks of Antioch, Caryn (Bob Snyder) Wendricks of Zion and Jeffrey Wendricks of Wadsworth; nine grandchildren, Brandie Wendricks, Alan Wendricks, Johnathan Wendricks, Justin Wendricks, Jeremy Wendricks, Brenna Wendricks, Tiffany Grahn, Alyssa Kaye and Derek Kaye; six great-grandchildren, Makayla, Joshua, C.J., Lilyian, Kaylee, Nathan and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Florence (Billington) Wendricks, two brothers, Skip Wendricks, Jerold Wendricks, sisters, Patsy White and June Nickerson.
Denny loved camping, playing horseshoes and cribbage. He worked and retired from ComEd after 37 years of service.
Visitation will take place on Wednesday, December 15, 2010 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at WARREN FUNERAL HOME, 1475 N. Cemetery Rd., Gurnee. Funeral services will be on Thursday, December 16, 2010 at 11:00 am at the funeral home with one hour of visitation before services. Pastor Miguel Nieves from York House United Methodist Church in Beach Park will officiate the services. Entombment will follow at Warren Cemetery, Chapel of Peace Mausoleum, Gurnee.
