Dennis Augustus Baker, 59, of Waukegan passed away on Wednesday, June 6, 2012 in Brooklyn, New York. He was born on March 6, 1953 in Kemp's Hill, Clarendon, Jamaica to Granville and Iris (Little) Baker.
Dennis worked as a Teacher at Vere Technical High School for twenty five years. He later worked as a Machinist at Alcoa Minerals Inc. five years. He then migrated to the US to join his wife and kids. He later worked for Hospira Inc. and the Target Corporation.
He leaves behind his loving wife Audrey; mother, Iris Sinclair; five children, Jermaine, Tameisha, Javoun, Dwayne and Christoff; seven grandchildren; brother, Neville; sister, Norma; three nieces and two nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Granville.
Gone but not forgotten. May his soul rest in peace.
Visitation will be held on Saturday June 23, 2012 from 9:00am until 10:00am at Waukegan Community Church, 1016 Grand Avenue, Waukegan IL. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 23, 2012 at 10:00am at the church with Pastor Alton Bailey officiating from New Testament Church in North Chicago and Pastor Fred Obleton officiating from Waukegan Community Church. Burial will follow at Warren Cemetery & Mausoleum, Gurnee. Memorial donations may be made to the family.
