Delores Mae Smith, 80, passed away at her home in Waukegan on Monday, April 23, 2012. She was born on February 12, 1932 in Portage, WI.
She is survived by her two daughters; Karen Smith, Susan (Ray) Underwood; two sons; Jimmy Smith, David (Heidi) Smith; two step-sons; Doug (Michelle) Smith, Jimmy Smith; two brothers, Frank (Cathy) Stockwell, Ray (Patty) Stockwell; one aunt, Beatrice Barrett; nine grandchildren; Melissa (Brian), Bobby (Lisa), Christopher (Megan), Charles (Kristina), Katie, Natalie (Craig), Nicholas, Kyley, Matthew; four great-grandchildren; Christopher, Addison, Claire, Cody and several nieces, nephews and her loving family in California. She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond Charles and Florence Lucille (Otto) Stockwell; dear husband of 37 years, Larry Smith; sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Don Smith; daughter-in-law, Jill Smith and one grandson, Baby Blake Smith.
Delores loved spending time with her family. She was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed watching football and baseball. Her organizational skills will be forever unsurpassed by anyone in her family; we have never seen anyone quite like Delores.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 28, 2012 from 11:00am-12:00pm at WARREN FUNERAL HOME, 1475 N. Cemetery Road, Gurnee. Funeral services are Saturday, April 28, 2012 at 12:00pm at the funeral home with Rev. Ray Underwood officiating. Burial will follow at Warren Cemetery & Mausoleum, Gurnee.
