David Richard Lambert, 63, of Waukegan, passed away on Monday, April 13, 2015 at Holy Family Medical Center in Des Plaines. He was born on July 10, 1951 in Joliet, Illinois. On April 29, 1978 in Winnetka, Illinois, David married the love of his life, Elizabeth Wittenberg. He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Elizabeth Lambert; two daughters, Melissa Lambert and Kathryn (Grady) Diesslin; mother, Mary Alice (nee George) Lambert; three brothers, Steven (Diane) Lambert, Randal Lambert and Michael (Bob Navarro) Lambert; one sister, Michelle (Michael) Gunter; one niece and five nephews, Adam Lavazza, Anthony Lavazza, Aaron Lavazza, Austin Lavazza, Heather Lambert and David Lambert. He was preceded in death by his father, Dale Richard Lambert and baby sister, Debra Lambert. David was a United States Air Force veteran who served 24 years in the military and retired as a Lieutenant Colonel. He was very proud to have 5000 flying hours as a pilot in the Air Force. David was an avid Bears fan, loved oldies music, especially Elvis, and adored his golden retriever, Maggie. Visitation is Sunday, April 19, 2015 from 2-3pm at Warren Funeral Home. Funeral services will take place at 3pm at the funeral home with Pastor Brian K. Walter officiating from Gurnee Community Church.
