David Copenhaver

David Arthur Copenhaver, age 75, passed away on September 20, 2017. He was preceded in death by parents, Kenneth Copenhaver and Faye Robinson; brothers and sisters Mae Shilts, Thomas, Theodore, James, and Robert Copenhaver, Leona Cotts, and Myona Mikottis. Further, he is also preceded by his extended loving family in death Chico Vazquez. He is survived by numerous nieces and nephews and special extended family Carmen Vazquez, Josie Sandley, Rosa Rodgers, Milagros Figueroa, Margarita Buss, Haidee Smith and 38 year loving friendship of Frank Vazquez.

David loved flowers and loved to plant in his garden, so much so that he was a professional florist. He loved going to Flea Markets, Antiquing, and going to the theater. Above all he loved his dogs, and pets in general. Their unconditional love that they provided to David was his glory, so much so that he is being inurned with his pets in Aarrowood Pet Cemetery in Vernon Hills, IL.

Services honoring David's life will be at Warren Funeral Home, 1475 N Cemetery Rd., Gurnee, IL 60031 on Monday, September 25, 2017 starting with Visitation at 9:00am. Visitation will continue until time of services at 10:00AM. Presiding over services will be Fr. Robert Kelly.
