Darrell McDonald

Darrell Wayne McDonald, 64 of Gurnee, passed away on Monday, May 18, 2020 at his home.

He was born on October 22, 1955 in La Junta, Colorado to the late William and Hulda (Wright) McDonald.  Darrell enlisted in the U. S. Army in 1976 where he served over 20 years before retiring in 1997.  On April 12, 1986 he married Cheryl Punches in Park Ridge,IL.  He enjoyed fishing and hunting and loved his family.

Darrell is survived by his wife Cheryl, his son; Clint (Samantha) McDonald his daughter, Faye McDonald, his siblings; Mike and Russ McDonald, Betty Hobbick, Sharon Wallace, Lynn Higashimura, and Margaret Hogue, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers; William, Bobby, LeRoy, Harold, Raymond and James McDonald and his sister Brenda Highfield.

Due to the Covid 19 Pandemic a private family service will occur now and a public Memorial Service will be held when it is safe to do so.
