Cynthia “Hope” Forcier, 74 of Wadsworth, passed away on Thursday, June 6, 2019 at her home.
She was born on January 4, 1945 to the late Fred and Ployariannwynn (Johnson) Hope in London, England. Hope briefly severed in the British army before moving to Spain where she met her husband Ronald. On November 20, 1967 she married Ron Forcier in England. Throughout her life Hope was an avid volunteer, and spent years donating her time to many organizations including the Red Cross, Hospice, and most recently the Master Gardeners. Hope was an active member on the Wadsworth Village zoning counsel, and worked with village administration to create the Wadsworth Farmers Market.
Hope is survived by her husband of 51 years, Ron, her children; Peter Forcier and Jane Forcier, her sister, Margaret (Mack) McDonnell, and her brother Basil Jan (Wendy) Jenson.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, June 13, 2019 and again from 10:00 – 11:00 A.M. on Friday, June 14, 2019 at Warren Funeral Home located at 1475 N. Cemetery Rd. Gurnee, IL. Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Friday at the funeral home. Fr. James Merold will officiate.
Burial will be at Warren Cemetery.
