Courtney Royal

Courtney Lynn Royal, 33, of Fox Lake, passed away Monday, October 18, 2021 at Advocate Sherman Hospital in Elgin. She was born February 13, 1988 in Evanston, Illinois.

Courtney will be remembered for her beautiful smile and  gorgeous eyes that could light up a room and laughter that was infectious. She was fun, loving and as silly as she could be. She loved her family and friends with an intensity that is rarely ever seen.  She had a beautiful singing voice, was a phenomenal cook and was an amazing and loving mom, homemaker and former wife with the deepest of devotion.  She adored spending time with her children, her entire family and her loving friends.

She is survived by her Children: Dominic and Addison Royal; Stepson Eric Royal III,  their Father: Eric Royal Jr., Parents: Debby and Brian Stadel and David Johnson; Brothers Nicholas Stadel,  Brennan Stadel,  Dexter Johnson; Sister Sarah (Lucas) Baca; Grandmothers: Linda Nelson,  Jane Stadel,  Lorry Johnson; Uncles: Terry Nelson,  David Nelson,  Rich Carey,  Doug (Amy) Johnson,  Richard (Jean) Johnson; Aunt: Beth Carey; Nieces and Nephews: Mason, Mila and Lilly, Alina and Tony Salinas; Cousins: Brittney Carey, Paul Carey, Jakki (Casey) Taylor, Jason Tipton, Joshua Tipton, Justin Tipton, Anthony Rios,  Rikki Rios and Michael Rios.  And also her best friends Jenna Santell and Tabitha Miller and many other dear friends.

She is preceded in death by her beloved Grandfathers: Harold Nelson, Bill Stadel and Richard Johnson. Her loving Aunt Melissa Rios and numerous other Grandparents, and other relatives that adored her.

Visitation will be from 10 am until the time of service at 12 pm on Friday, October 22 at Warren Funeral Home, 1475 N Cemetery Rd. Gurnee, IL. Entombment will follow.

In lieu of flowers Debby and Brian Stadel will be starting Trust Funds for her two Sons in Honor their Mommy's Memory. If anyone would be interested in donating that would be appreciated greatly and checks can be written to Debby or Brian.
