Clyde Kent

Clyde Edward Kent, 92, of Zion, Illinois passed away on Thursday, March 11, 2021, at his home.

He was born on February 16, 1929 to John and Matilda (Piper) Kent in Buffalo, Missouri.  On November 15, 1949 he married Dorothy Martin and they spent the next 71 years together.  After a tour of duty in the US Navy, he spent the next 20 years in the Naval Reserves.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; his daughter, Pamela (Ray) Georges; his daughter-in-law, Judy Kent; his grandchildren, Bob (Kate) Kent, Joe Georges, Elise (Steve) Rini, Lisa (Joe) Lowrance, Ezra Rendall, and Ross (Ariel) Rendall; many great-grandchildren; and his brother, Donald (Brenda) Kent.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Robert W. Kent; his daughter, Linda Rendall; and his siblings, Ira Kent, Kenneth Kent, and Katy Kent.

A visitation will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, March 19, 2021 at Warren Funeral Home, 1475 N. Cemetery Rd., Gurnee, IL 60031. The funeral service will follow at 12 PM.  Interment will be at Warren Cemetery.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and in accordance with current State of Illinois Phase 4 regulations, all guests will be required to wear a face mask at all times.  There will be a maximum of 50 people allowed in the funeral home at a time and proper social distancing must be practiced.
