Charles Howard

Charles Lindberg Howard, 88, of Gurnee, passed away June 1, 2016 at Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville. He was born February 7, 1928 in Bald Eagle, PA. He married the love of his life, Janice Theisler, on November 15, 1969 in Taylorville, IL. Charles was a US WWII Army Veteran. He was "Mr. Fix-it" and a "Jack of all trades." Charles is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Janice Howard; daughters, Laura (Scot) Wojcik and Claretta (Jim) Leidy; grandchildren, Mason Wojcik, Braden Wojcik, J. Brant Leidy, Kevin (Melissa) Leidy and Heather (Ted) Collins; great grandchildren, Breanna Leidy, Taylor Leidy and Rain Collins; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jean (Mike) Roche, John (Dorothy) Theisler, Judy (John) Ballew, James (Mary Ann) Theisler and Gerald (Cathy) Theisler; many nieces, nephews, and four very special family friends, Daniel, Ryan, Courtney and Marleigh. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Maude (Marvin) Howard; beloved son, Charles A. Howard; five brothers and three sisters. A memorial service will take place on Thursday, June 9, 2016 at 7:00 pm Libertyville Covenant Church, 250 S. St. Mary's Road, Libertyville, IL with visitation from 6:30 pm - 7:00 pm at the church with Pastor Steve Larson officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Libertyville Covenant Church, in the memo please reference Camp Scholarship. Interment and Army Military Honors will be held on Friday, June 10, 2016 at 11:00 am at Warren Cemetery, Gurnee.
