Charles Bookelo

Charles W. Bookelo, 79, of Waukegan, passed away on Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at Terrace Nursing Home in Waukegan. He was born on July 1, 1930 in Barrington, IL to John and Gertrude (Koster) Bookelo. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Ora Mae (Swager) Bookelo; nieces and nephews, Gail Frye of Wendell, NC, Ron (MaryAnn) Swager of Little Rock, AR, Tracy Swager of Wilmington, NC, Melissa (Tim) Nissan of Mesa, AZ and many loving church members, friends and neighbors. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sisters. Charles was a US Army veteran. A cryptside service will take place on Friday, April 2, 2010 at 1:00 pm at Warren Cemetery, Chapel of Peace Mausoleum, Gurnee with Pastor William George officiating from Lindenhurst Church of God.
