Celestina Burgos

Celestina Burgos, 91, of Waukegan passed away on Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at Pavilion of Waukegan. She was born on February 15, 1918 in Lares, Puerto Rico to Gregorio Burgos Gonzalez and Maria Bautista Roman. In Puerto Rico many years ago, Celestina married Emiliano Rodriguez, Sr. who died in 1981. She is survived by her loving family, two sons, Emiliano, Jr. (Rosa) Rodriguez of Florida and Hector (Carmen) Rodriguez of Waukegan; one brother, Porfirio Burgos of Rockford, IL; one sister, Celenia Burgos of Chicago; eight grandchildren, Maria del Carmen Rodriguez, Wanda Rodriguez, Blanca Rosa (Manny) Diaz, Marco Antonio Rodriguez, Julio Cesar, Maytee (Freddrick) Diez, William Hector Rodriguez, Darwin (Karen) Rodriguez and Joaquin and Marie Antoinette; many great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers, Confesor Burgos, Leopoldo Burgos, Roberto Burgos and Juanito Burgos, sisters, Buenaventura Burgos, Juana Burgos and Zoila Burgos. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 21, 2010 from 11 am until 12 pm at Warren Funeral Home, 1475 N. Cemetery Rd., Gurnee. A funeral service will take place at 12 pm on Thursday at the funeral home after the visitation with Rev. Alex DeJesus officiating from United Church of Christ in Brookfield, IL. Entombment will follow at Warren Cemetery, Chapel of Peace Mausoleum, Gurnee.
