Casimer J. Siwula, 86, of Wadsworth passed away on Monday, September 14, 2009 at his home with his family by his side. He was born on September 11, 1923 in North Chicago. On July 16, 1949 in Waukegan, Casimer married Eleanor Anderson. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Eleanor Siwula; children, James (Eileen) Siwula, Joseph Siwula, Joyce Babitz, Randall (Julie) Siwula, Pamela (Robert) Kiesgen and Casey Siwula; eighteen grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Julia (nee Taddle) Siwula, three brothers, Matt, Chester and John Siwula and one sister, Florence Siwula. Casimer was a WWII United States Army veteran. He was an avid Bears, White Socks and Black Hawks fan. He was in the Carpenter's Union Local #250 and a life-long member of St. Patrick's Church in Wadsworth. Family and friends may meet on Thursday, September 17, 2009 from 4-8 pm at Warren Funeral Home, 1475 N. Cemetery Rd., Gurnee. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, September 18, 2009 at 10:00 am at St. Patrick's Church, 15000 W. Wadsworth Rd., Wadsworth with Deacon Ed Tomkowiak officiating. Entombment will follow at Ascension Cemetery in Libertyville.
