Carol Delaine Henry, 53, of Zion passed away on Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at Midwestern Regional Medical Center in Zion. She was born on September 25, 1957 in Tarentum, PA. On March 28, 1975 Carol married Don Edward Henry in Waukegan.
She is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Don; parents, George and Orvetta (nee Brubaker) Mellinger of McPherson, Kansas; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Richard and Shirley (nee Cashmore) Henry of Zion; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jim and Ilene (nee Gillman) Henry of Beach Park; fourteen children, Jim (Amanda) Henry of Marshfield, WI, Jason Henry of Zion, George (Annie) Henry of McPherson, Kansas, Lloyd Henry of McPherson, Kansas, Emmett (Hannah) Henry of Orcutt, California, Delaine (Joe) Albert of Seoul, South Korea, Sherman Henry, Carriebeth Henry, Jerry Henry, Noah Henry, September Henry, Jesse Henry, Franklin Henry and Malachi Henry all of Zion; three brothers, Al (Diane) Mellinger of Bulgaria, Brian (Debbie) Mellinger of Waukegan and Royal (Kimber) Mellinger of McPherson, Kansas; eleven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Carol was a member of North Point Church in Winthrop Harbor for many years. As a young girl she was involved in 4H and she was always involved in church. Carol enjoyed sewing and doing crafts. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at 6:30 pm at North Point Church, 900 N. Lewis Avenue, Winthrop Harbor with Pastor Tim Bycroft and Pastor Dennis Corley officiating. In lieu of flowers donations to the family would be appreciated.
